Christian Tams represented Germany in the International Court of Justice in The Hague

Cases

On 30 April 2024, the International Court of Justice in The Hague rejected Nicaragua‘s request for interim relief against Germany, in a case concerning Germany‘s conduct in the current Gaza war. Notably, by 15 votes to 1, the Court found that there was no reason to order Germany to halt military and other aid to Israel.

The Court‘s order is available on the Court’s website.  For news coverage see e.g. here (Guardian) here (New York Times) and here (FT).

Professor Christian J. Tams represented Germany.
