Jason Coppel KC and Tom Cross are instructed to act for the Government in claims arguing that the UK is not able to trigger the UK’s withdrawal from the EU under Article 50 of the Treaty on European Union without the approval of an Act of Parliament. A Divisional Court (Sir Brian Leveson PQBD and Cranston J) held a Directions Hearing this morning at which it set directions for the onward progress of the case. A hearing before the Lord Chief Justice and others is expected in October this year.
