The Inquest into the death of Ella Adoo-Kissi-Debrah began today and will be heard over a period of two weeks. As reported on the BBC the Inquest will be investigating the role of air pollution in the death of this 9 year old girl who suffered from asthma.
The issues which will be addressed at the Inquest include:
- Whether air pollution caused or contributed to Ella’s death
- How air pollution levels were monitored at the time
- The steps taken to reduce air pollution
- The information provided to the public about the level of air pollution, its dangers, and ways to reduce exposure
