We are delighted to announce that Lucy Barbet has won Champion of the Year in the Women in Law categories at the Legal 500 ESG UK Awards 2024.
Members and Staff congratulate Lucy, we are delighted the role she has played in supporting and boosting female representation at the Bar has been recognised. In 2019, Lucy became the first female chair of the Institute of Barristers Clerks, Lucy has been blazing a trail for female clerks for over 30 years. We are now very pleased to be able to announce Lucy as the first winner of this award at the inaugural Legal 500 UK ESG Awards.
This category acknowledges truly exceptional individual contributions to boosting female representation at the Bar over the last year. The Judges were looking for evidence of involvement in key initiatives at Chambers or across the Bar more broadly.
